Annual Scientific Meeting 2008: 'Culture and Health - Can We Capitalise?'

The Merseyside Branch of the BSPD looks forward to welcoming delegates to the Society's Annual Scientific Meeting to be held in Liverpool in, this, its celebration year as European Capital of Culture. The conference is being held in the Merseyside Maritime Museum from Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th September 2008.
Conference Programme
The principal conference theme 'Culture and Health - Can We Capitalise?' will be of interest to all colleagues. The meeting has been recognised for CPD.

By Mainline Train The Maritime Museum is located within 20 minutes walking distance of Liverpool Lime Street Station or 5-10 minutes in a taxi, dependant on traffic (cost approximately £5). James Street Station is 5 minute walk away from the Maritime Museum and is on the Mersey Rail Loop Line which goes through Lime Street Underground.

By Air Manchester (60 Minutes) and Liverpool John Lennon Airports (30 Minutes) are accessible by taxi (approximately £50 and £25 respectively). Alternatively, public transport is available from both airports: There is a train service from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Lime Street Rail Station and a bus service from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the Liverpool City Centre. Specific details should be sought from airport and station information desks.

By Bus A number of buses from the City Centre stop near the Waterfront. Local travel information is available from Mersey Travel or by calling 0871 200 2233.

By Car The Albert Dock has pay and display car parking spaces, however, day and overnight parking is extremely expensive. In addition, there are two large multi-storey car parks a short walking distance away.
