Ridings Branch

The Ridings Branch covers West, East and North Yorkshire and meets 5 or 6 times per year. The usual venue is The Dental Institute, Leeds. All of the meetings have educational approval and most have Section 63 approval.

The Branch currently holds the 'Angel of the North Trophy'

Annual Scientific Meeting 2006

The Branch is hosting the 2006 Annual Scientific Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Leeds Hilton Hotel 13-15 September 2006. The Conference Theme is 'The Art and the Science'.

    Aims and Objectives:

    • To provide an overview of epidemiology, aetiology, presentation and treatment of failure to thrive and obesity

    Educational Outcomes:

    • Increase understanding of the conditions of failure to thrive and obesity

    Be able to recognize the conditions and to make appropriate referrals if necessary

    Aims and Objectives:

    • To inform practitioners about current methods of vital and non-vital tooth whitening

    Educational Outcomes:

    • By the end of the session, the practitioner will have an understanding of nightguard vital bleaching; power bleaching techniques and non-vital whitening procedures
